House of Nimo started between two friends, Indrani and Anish, in 2017 to celebrate their love for this exquisite wool called Pashmina. Having been avid pashmina lovers and collectors of some heirloom pashmina shawls, both have tasted and understood this material for decades. 

The objective of starting House of Nimo was to showcase the classic Pashmina fabric in a new light. The old charm of Pashmina is elegantly presented in a new package. Innovative patterns and contemporary shades have been tastefully combined, keeping in mind a broader audience of pashmina lovers.​

At House Of Nimo, all our stoles, scarves, shawls and every merchandise made with 100% natural pashmina yarn: premium quality – luxurious pashmina.

All our pashminas are made from Ladakhi Changthangi goat at the Himalayas high plateau, where the goats roam freely.

As we work with the nomads of changthang, they are also committed to providing the goats with a cruelty-free life; they treat them as family and collect pashmina wool by hand-combing at the time of shedding which happens at the right time of the year during summers.

The dyes we use are always azo-free and plant-based dyes that don’t have any negative environmental impact on our planet.

Sustainably sourced pashmina and ethical labour often come at a premium; we call it slow fashion because every product takes time to be made and will be there with you for generations.
